School After graduating from Sumner In 1943 she attended the University of Kansas Later she married Havlous Henry and to this union a son was born Carl Havlous Henry Clytee was employed with the Urban League Branch Office In Kansas Cltv MO hired bv James Pauley about 1952 She was transferred to Montclair NJ where she worked for several years She then was chosen among the first blacks hired bv Mobil Oil Corporate Headquarters In New York where she retired Clytee received many awards of recognition during her tenure at Mobil Oil After retirement Clytee enloyed traveling to different parts of the world and spending time with family and friends She also remained an octlve member of the Sumner Alumni Association When Clytee departed this life on Mav 31 1994 she left many hearts to mourn and Woygh at Eskridge KS He attended the Missouri Military Academy where he participated In and developed his love of sports He graduated from the University of Kansas In 1940 where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity and was heod cheerleader The 1940 Jayhawker described Bill's Interest In traveling "particularly the knock -about method of getting wherever he pleases however he can" In 1941 Bill married Mory Jane McCoy of Emporia KS Shortly thereafter he ellsted In the Army and served as Captain during World War II After the war he obtained a law degree from Washburn University The fomlly then moved to Eskridge KS where Bill practiced law worked In the family ranching ond banking businesses and raised three sons He was elected mayor of Eskridge and founded the Eskridge Klwonas Club In 1952 he served as a Junior National Committeeman for the Kansas Republican Party In 1959 Bill received his master's In tax law from New York University and stayed to teach in the groduote tax program at NYU In 1992 he retired from the practice of law after 44 years the last 24 of which were spent with the Kansas Cltv firm of Shook Hardy and Bacon In addition to his wide learning and passion for traveling Bill had on Insatiable curiosity and Interest in people and life In general He devoted all of his time to his family friends the practice of law KU sports and the Chiefs and the Royals (roughly In that order) He will be missed by all who knew him as a character and a remarkable person "Poppa" will be especially missed by his grandchildren Erin Waugh Gorny and her husband Steve Megan Waugh Blgbee and her husband Daniel Kara Katherine Waugh John Kansas Waugh Richard Nicholas Waugh Walker McCoy Waugh William Tyler Waugh and Kyle Skullv Waugh He was the father spirit
