Spearville, Jan. -Two persons were killed early today when an eastbound Santa Fe passenger train struck a pickup truck at a crossing at the west edge of Spearville.

The victims were Jackie Lynn Fries, 22, Jetmore, and Dixie Marie Jones, 15, Spearville. The highway patrol said Fries recently moved to Jetmore from Craig, Mo. Carl F. Dolbring, of Newton, chief engineer on the train, the Super Chief, said 1 the train was traveling about 90 miles an hour. He said he saw the pickup turn off U.

S. 50 and start up the embankment, toward the crossing. He he blew the whistle but the truck failed to stop. The vehicle was carried a mile and a half down the track. Spearville is 17 miles east of Dodge City in Southwest Kansas.

Girl Is Victim. Houston, Jan. -Judy Maxine Brazeal, 2-vearold daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Edward Brazeal of West.

Plains, was killed today when a car, driven by her father, overturned on U. S. 63, six miles south of Houston. The highway patrol said Brazeal, 33, hit an ice patch on the highway and skidded off the road. Brazeal was not injured but his wife, Ruby Maxine, 19, and a baby son, Everett Duane, 2 months.

St. Louis, Jan. 14 woman was killed and a man seriously injured last night when their car left U. S. 66 in St.

Waynesville, Jan. 14. (AP)-Denvil William Parish, 38. of Davenport, died in the Waynesville hospital today of injuries suffered in an accident Friday night. The highway patrol said Parish's car skidded off M-17, about nine miles west of Waynesville, and overturned several times.

Mrs. Viola Crowe, 73, formerly of City, died yesterday in a hospital in Phoenix, Ariz. She was born in Jasper County, Missouri, and lived here 15 years before moving to California eight years ago. PAYNE. Felix H. Payne, 78, died yesterday at the home, 1324 East Twenty-fourth street. He was the co-founder of the Kansas City American, a weekly newspaper which published from 1928 to 1941. He was co-owner of the old Kansas City Giants, a baseball team here before World War I.
